HOW THE 2V2 KILL RACE TOURNAMENT WORKS

YOU AND YOUR DUO PARTNER WILL PLAY AGAINST ANOTHER DUO IN THE SQUAD FORMAT. THIS IS DOUBLE ELIMINATION BRACKET PLAY. IT WILL BE A BO3 FORMAT IN THE WINNER'S BRACKET AND A BO1 FORMAT FOR LOSER'S BRACKET. MEANING WHOEVER GETS THE MOST KILLS PER GAME WINS, AND KILL COUNT RESETS AFTER EACH GAME. IF THERE IS A TIE, ANOTHER GAME WILL BE PLAYED. AFTER EACH GAME YOU MUST IMMEDIATELY REPORT YOUR RESULTS WITH PHOTO SCREENSHOT TO ADMIN THROUGH DISCORD DM. 
PLEASE READ THE COMPLETE RULES TO UNDERSTAND POINTS SYSTEM, STREAMING REQUIREMENTS AND OTHER DETAILS BEFORE BEGINNING THE TOURNAMENT. REGISTRATION INTO OUR TOURNAMENT IS AN AGREEMENT TO COMPLY WITH ALL RULES AND DECISIONS MADE BY ADMIN AND STAFF. FAILURE TO COMPLY TO ALL RULES WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION WITHOUT REFUND. THERE WILL BE NO REFUND FOR ANY TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES OR NO-SHOWS.

 

Tournament Checklist 
- At least one member must check-in on our Discord server at least 1 hour prior to tournament start time saying "Team Name checking in" once in the respective #check-in time channel.
- All communication and announcements will be done through Discord.
- Games will start 10 minutes after brackets are released. 
- Deadline to register will be 2 hours PRIOR the start time of the tournament and then no further refunds or changes can be made once tournament begins.

Streaming Rules & Instructions 
All players must stream or have a recording of their gameplay immediately available for review.
    - If you are a PC player you will need to show the task manager and start the game as soon as you begin the stream. Failure to do so will results in DQ. These precautions only need to be at the beginning of the stream not before every game.
- No camera is required to stream. But there must be audio for comms.
- Archive mode must be turned ON. This means the stream is saved and publicly viewable. 
- The title of your stream MUST include #turntupgames 
Allowed streaming platforms: Twitch. Facebook Gaming. YouTube.

Tournament Rules
- Absolutely no cheating of ANY form will be tolerated. Admins have final say on what is considered cheating.
- All players must play on primary account with at least 200 Warzone games at least 50 games within the last month.
- No K/D smurfing allowed
- Any extremely irregular pattern of gameplay that could be perceived as K/D tanking or reverse boosting before the tournament is grounds for disqualification
- If an account's K/D fluctuates abnormally within a tournament, Admin have final say on potential disqualification
- Any accounts that have been shared are prohibited.
- Tournaments will not allow any intentional use of easter eggs currently in the game.
- If there’s a Jail Break and you get brought back from it, you MUST kill yourself immediately or you forfeit all kills that map.
- Delays: Players may not delay the start of a match beyond its scheduled start time, without the approval of a tournament official. Players should be ready to play their next match as soon as both they and their opponent have finished their previous matches. If players are not ready to play after five minutes after the scheduled start time opponents can request that a tournament official enforce this five minute time limit and the match will be forfeit. 
- Lag: Being an online tournament lag may occur. If the lag gets bad enough that both players agree that it is disrupting the game they should contact the administrator through Discord and they will decide on the next course of action.
- Disconnections: If a player does not get into the game lobby before the start of the game, all players should back out and re-form the party. If a player disconnects/leaves the game after landing, their kills at the time of the disconnection will count toward their total of kills and the remainder of the game will continue.
- Griefing: Teams are permitted to work together, however, you may not intentionally cause the death of your opponent or negatively impact your opponent’s gameplay. This includes any negative interference in your opponents gameplay. Doing so will result in a forfeit of kills for that map.

Scoring
Kill = 1 point
Winner's Bracket Bo3
Loser's Bracket Bo1
Finals Loser's Bracket must win twice
Seeding: Teams will be randomly seeded at the close of registration.
Top seed hosts first, and then will alternate hosts, with the 3rd game being hosted by team with the highest kill total of first 2 games. Ties will result in another game being played.

 

Conduct
- All decisions and disagreements will be decided by the Tournament Administrator who will be present at the time of the tournament.
- Any malfunctions are the player’s responsibility. No matches will be restarted.
- DQ Rule: If both your players are not there for the match, you automatically give up the match.
- The Tournament Administrator is the ultimate rule decider and can form new rules and enforce them as they see fit. The Tournament Administrator is the ultimate decider of all disputes and problems. Arguing with the Tournament Administrator may result in immediate ejection form the tournament.

 

Payouts
- Prize money will be paid out via PayPal/Venmo/Cashapp
Tag @turntupgames and #turntupgames with your clips on IG or @turntupgames_ on Twitter with your play of the week before the next tournament date to win $50.
- Turnt Up Game’s staff will review every eligible team’s scores to determine proper placement in the tournament(s) before awarding any prize money. Official scores will be announced within 24 hours of score submission deadline.
- Payouts will be made within 24-48 hours of receiving all payment and tax information from winners. Each individual that wins over $600 in prizes within a 1 year period playing in our tournaments must fill out a tax form prior to receiving any prizes. Failure to do so will result in a forfeiture of prize money. We are not responsible for any transaction fees associated with prize money. 

 

Registration Instructions 
All players must be at least 13 years or older to register for Turnt Up Games Tournaments.
  • IF YOU ARE UNDER 18 YEARS OLD, YOU MUST RECEIVE THE CONSENT OF YOUR PARENTAL/LEGAL GUARDIAN.
  • BY COMPLETING AND SUBMITTING YOUR REGISTRATION, YOU ARE STATING THAT YOU HAVE RECEIVED THE CONSENT OF YOUR PARENTAL/LEGAL GUARDIAN. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION.
After you register, you will receive a confirmation email with a 4-digit order number (e.g. Order #1001).
  • Please remember this order number, you will need it when submitting scores at the end of the tournament.
  • You will be required to play with the same team members that are registered to your team for the entire tournament.
  • No mid-game or mid-tourney team member changes are allowed.
  • If one of your team members can not complete the tournament, you will have to play without the position being filled.
  • Playing with team members that are not registered will result in a disqualification.
